Rainer Ganahl is an artist, poet, film maker, writer and fashion designer born in Bludenz to a family of musicians, taylors, hoteliers who later turned to business. His family was marked by World War I and World War II in which his family actively participated with his father flying a Messerschmitt airplane. Later, his father played the first violine in various local orchestras with a classical repertoire and together with his grandfather who fabricated and manipuated even instruments they played for weddings and group festivities complementing income with Klezmer and Polka. Ganahl, profoundly annoyed with the authoritarianism of his environment, he studied against his fathers will the clarinette and entered later the Innsbruck concervatorium that exposed him to the basics in music theory and composition. From the University where he got degrees in Philosophy, History, Psychology, Paedagogy and Social Sciences. Half through Ganahl his studies of Romanistic (French and comparative literature) as well as Art History due to his desire to move on to Vienna's leading Art Academy. In Innsbruck, he participated in many extra curriculum activities that ranged from an internationally known Wittgenstein Reading circle to performances and readings of his own writings on the ORF, at the time the only national broad cast station. Even before he moved to Vienna, his artist, writer and music friends exposed him to famous artist performances that included happenings by Roman Signer from the late 1970s on and famous traveling writers and performers the local gallerists Krinzinger and others brought to where he was.

The artist, writer and art paedagoist of his home town, Bludenz, Ingo Springenschmid, read Ganahl's self written texts produced from the age of 16 on and collected them and introduced him to an international writer and artist scene known for Concrete Poetry. Ganahl's revolting brother Edgar Ganahl was forced to leave the Bludenz Gymnasium because he used Springenschmid's classes to paint his shoes and write on his coat the word Arschloch / Asshole. His suspension and expulsion from the best high school in Bludenz soon would cost his life as he was condemned to become a cook and then soon a bank employee which soon afforded him to ride a manipulated ZÜNDUPP to drive himself instead of going to the church into his own death, unable to stop a drunken super speeding red light ignoring post party Benz driver who grinded Edgar's brain into a yogourt. Ganahl, in possession of a driving licence has since opted to use mostly bicylces, and trains, subways or airplains but pennyless he hitchhiked mostly and was even ignored by his traveling insurrance brokers' father who did not approve his live as a poet flutplaying vagabond son with no money but books in his pocket who hated to work during vacation and prefered sleeping on the streets with homeless and hippies.

Most importantly, he was soon introduced to a writer who become cruxial for dealing with Austria's history of the Holocaust and not interested in self-agrandism and self-justification but rather took a sentiment of guilt and embarrasement and failure as a point of departure. Heimrad Bäcker became his first publisher of famous series NEUE TEXTE, LINZ fa mailstone in addressing the Austrias history of Concentration camps. 2019–2021, the mumok in Vienna und das NS-Dokumentationszentrum in Munich honored Heimrad Bäcker with a one person show entiteld "es kann sein, dass man uns nicht töten wird und uns erlauben wird, zu leben" - (it is possible, that they are not kiling us and we are allowed, to live". Heimrad Bäcker - internationally mostly unknown- become for Ganahl a mentor where his own past in regard to his life long committment to Denazifikation was not only finding a hero but a person who worked activly in the Mauthausen concentratoin camp and could testify as a boy what hapopened to forced labor.

Unlike so many of his contemporaries Bäcker was collecting between 1968 and 1985 written testimony of the "national socialist "Tötungsmaschinerie" (the machinery to kill). His motto was "it is sufficiant, to simply quote the language of the perpetrators and stay within his linguistic scope, preserved in documents. During his official stay between 1985- 1991, the HAK with its long history and tradition of famous artists and teachers, Ganahl learned the trade from his teachers in regard to conceptual artperformanceexperimental filmvideo art, and computer art, Hans Hollein, (he had develloped a good relationship to his collector, friend and current director at the Met, Max Hollein who's wife also studied with Westwood and they all spent hollidays together due to Ganahl's ability to be the least important person and the poorest person in the room no matter of the facts because he always suffered from seclusion, exclusion, internationalism, and book and langauge induced isolation that ended him so far on many instances in correctional facilities of a multiple of states and most severely in a psychiatric institution that marked his long academic service as a professor also due to narrow interpretations of local law and adefacto political expulsions since his telling it all catered into a forced expulsion due to an insistence, that fascistic tendencies are not welcome in any teaching machine - hence he was declared unable to serve the community of learners and unable to stand even trail when indruders rampaged his apartment on various instances and cases massive theft are still in the court house ) bazon brook (a teacher of Ganahl who immediatly harrassed his then long time girl friend Irene Hochenbuechler on a long car drive from Vienna (HaK) to Kassel (documenta IX,1987) when he repeatadly pressed his hands in front of Ganahl between the laughing young artist in his car and did not even stop harrassing the couple even after Ganahl hit him seriously on his hands. The artist theorist, art critic, multi-media generalist and academic teacher still stayed friend with Ganahl and was the only artist professor who at least come to visit him in Harlem. He also introduced one of RAINER GANAHL'S exhibtions to an audience in Bremen, where he also presented works based on Newspaper articles - something Ganahl has never really stopped.

Bazon Brook who was like Weibel a massive violater when it comes to women rights, grew up in a climate before me too, when the abuse of power was the norm. But that road trip evoke in him only bizarre films and porn situtatons he was exposed by far too early ... Hence the politics of the dress code was something the designer and founder of COMMEDESMARXISTS was literally beaten into his blood. Ganahl is used to sexual harassment from his early childhood and dispices it. He is currently in Lower Manhattan supreme court of New York for an incident where an artist friend force kissed him, and attacked him in his own house trying to penetrate him through him with his male organe from behind after he was weekend and had a problem from an earlier attack. But it was a skate boarder who nearly killed him in the streets of his city of choice, his borough of necessity where he is considered by default a dirty jew and hence a kind of intruding foreign enity, that nearly cost him his life due to a scate boarder rapper street artists. Unfortunately, the current major contenters for high office in the adabted place of choice have been when it comes to the national level officially convicted criminals and when it comes to the city level under the spectre of corruption in which the former ottman regime playes a big rule. And hence, Ganahl, an advocate for the law obeying has himself found insitutionalized due to fundamental law breakers of all colors and all religions and in particular for his kind of art related journalism that commedesmarxists uses as a changing flag for peace - during time of anti-semitism and islamophobia and utter usa helplessness and extreme block thinking and drawing new borders with the power of rockets and satelites as if we live in the age of manga ... the lastest version commedesmarxists uses the nuclear, toxic sign in clearly demarkated areas but currently when even piece prices are given to anti-nuclear groups ganahl decorates him with the origin of the stars and stribes as if a Jingo istic p ballistic drone operater who still thinks that the nationstate has to be abondoned and no nationalism, no boderline, no religous bordre should be touched without everybodies permission, meaning the larger peace making institutions with only symbolic value and bloody histories of mass distructions - the nobel price peace winner - was the nicest and only positive surprise that inspires commedesmarxists on its current tour accros europes sites of big miscalculations and the origin of massive mass distructions based on gigantic failed ideas.

The designer tries to remain indifferent whether his interlocutors are famous, rich and successful or poor, desperate and lost in limbo and diseases. Usually his friend, flatmates, neighbours, passerby tourists or illegals,, girl friends, partners or strangers he usually tends to engage in conversations. His most famous fashion models prefer to be anonymous but represents some of the biggest fashion labels that dominate the industry. His most deprived model have been alcoholic and drug addict and his most dangerous models stole from him and lived of scamming and one tragic mental case neighbours tried to
